As the autumn leaves started to fall, our kids’ soccer season peaked, and pumpkins started to cover every surface of our house, something unusual happened in our backyard flock. It started with a noticeable drop in our daily eggs, followed by a scattering of feathers across the coop floor. But what really freaked me out was the balled spots on some of our girls - had a predator snuck into our coop? Were our chickens suffering from an illness?
